    Green Turtle Painting Workshop, 28 September | Ages 6–8 Date: Monday 28 September 2026 Time: 9 am-3 pm Dive into creativity with our Green Turtle Painting Workshop for children aged 6–8. Young artists will learn to draw and paint a beautiful green sea turtle while exploring colour mixing, brushwork, and decorative patterns. Each student can choose their own colours and patterns, giving them the freedom to create a turtle filled with individual character. With friendly, step-by-step guidance from artist and art educator Julia Sawicki, children will develop their confidence with polymer paint and complete a vibrant canvas artwork to proudly display at home.     Earth Painting Workshop | Ages 9–12 Date: Tuesday 29 September 2026 Time: 9 am-3 pm Embark on an artistic journey into space and create a breathtaking acrylic painting of our planet. Designed for students aged 9–12, this workshop moves beyond traditional landscape painting as young artists explore how Earth appears from the cosmos. Students will learn acrylic glazing, layering, colour blending and textural techniques to create oceans, continents, clouds and the surrounding depths of space. Under the guidance of artist and art educator Julia Sawicki, each student will develop their technical painting skills and create an awe-inspiring canvas celebrating the beauty of our shared planet. Children will learn: How to draw Earth viewed from space with Australia. Paint layering and brush techniques. How to apply glazing medium and textural mediums Perfect for upper primary students who enjoy detail, design and developing new artistic techniques.     Glossy Black-Cockatoo Mixed-Media Workshop | Ages 6–8 Date: Wednesday 30 September 2026 Time: 9 am-3 pm Celebrate one of Australia’s remarkable native birds in our Glossy Black-Cockatoo Mixed-Media Workshop. Created for children aged 6–8, this workshop introduces young artists to the glossy black-cockatoo and its resilient recovery following the devastating Australian bushfires of 2019–20. Students will learn to sketch various postures of the Glossy Black Cockatoo, then create a drawing of a couple of Glossy Black Cockatoos sitting in a native casuarina tree. They will use crayon, adding expressive colour and detail with watercolours. Along the way, they will explore shape, texture and composition while developing an appreciation for Australian wildlife and its habitats. Each child will complete a beautiful framed artwork to take home.     Hot-Air Balloon Mixed-Media Workshop | Ages 6–8 Date: Friday 2 October 2026 Time: 9 am-3 pm Let your child’s imagination take flight in our Hot-Air Balloon Mixed-Media Workshop. Young artists will begin by painting a scenic landscape, then design colourful hot-air balloons to add to their composition. They will explore painting, drawing, pattern, collage and layering as they create an imaginative scene filled with colour and adventure. This workshop encourages creative decision-making while introducing children to landscape composition and mixed-media techniques. At the end of the workshop, each child will take home a beautifully framed original artwork.
