    Earth Painting Workshop | Ages 9–12 Date: Tuesday 29 September 2026 Time: 9 am-3 pm Embark on an artistic journey into space and create a breathtaking acrylic painting of our planet. Designed for students aged 9–12, this workshop moves beyond traditional landscape painting as young artists explore how Earth appears from the cosmos. Students will learn acrylic glazing, layering, colour blending and textural techniques to create oceans, continents, clouds and the surrounding depths of space. Under the guidance of artist and art educator Julia Sawicki, each student will develop their technical painting skills and create an awe-inspiring canvas celebrating the beauty of our shared planet.     Glossy Black-Cockatoo Mixed-Media Workshop | Ages 6–8 Date: Wednesday 30 September 2026 Time: 9 am-3 pm Celebrate one of Australia’s remarkable native birds in our Glossy Black-Cockatoo Mixed-Media Workshop. Created for children aged 6–8, this workshop introduces young artists to the glossy black-cockatoo and its resilient recovery following the devastating Australian bushfires of 2019–20. Students will learn to sketch various postures of the Glossy Black Cockatoo, then create a drawing of a couple of Glossy Black Cockatoos sitting in a native casuarina tree. They will use crayon, adding expressive colour and detail with watercolours. Along the way, they will explore shape, texture and composition while developing an appreciation for Australian wildlife and its habitats. Each child will complete a beautiful framed artwork to take home.     Strawberry Painting Workshop | Ages 9–12 Date: Thursday 1 October 2026 Time: 9 am- 3 pm Create a bold and deliciously colourful canvas in our Strawberry Painting Workshop. Designed for students aged 9–12, this workshop explores an engaging cropped composition in which juicy strawberries appear to extend beyond the edges of the canvas. Students will learn how to mix rich reds and greens, build form through highlights and shadows, and create the distinctive textures of strawberries and their leaves. With expert guidance from artist and art educator Julia Sawicki, each young artist will complete a vibrant acrylic painting to take home and treasure. Students will learn: Still-life drawing techniques of strawberries.     Dolphin Sculpture Workshop | Ages 9–12 Date: Thursday 8 October 2026 Time: 9 am-3 pm Bring the energy of the ocean to life in our Dolphin Clay Sculpture Workshop. Students aged 9–12 will learn how to design and construct a three-dimensional dolphin surfing through a wave. With expert guidance, young artists will explore sculptural form, proportion, balance, texture and the techniques required to join and shape air-drying clay. Students will then use acrylic paints to add ocean-inspired colour and detail to their sculptures. Each completed dolphin will have its own movement and personality, creating a unique artwork to enjoy for years to come. Students will: Draw and design a Dolphin riding a wave. Learn construction techniques. Learn surface finishes and water textures using clay tools.
