    In this engaging portrait workshop, students aged 9–12 will explore self-expression through the bold and imaginative style of iconic artist Frida Kahlo. Known for incorporating flowers, animals, and meaningful symbols into her work, Frida’s art inspires this creative session. Children will paint a self-portrait on canvas and have the opportunity to personalise it with Australian native flowers and fauna, using various reference images for inspiration. This thoughtful blend of portraiture and natural elements encourages artistic skill and personal storytelling. Set in our peaceful garden art studio, this workshop offers older students a meaningful and enriching art experience, with a vibrant, expressive canvas to take home proudly. They’ll also experiment with warm and cool colour palettes, learning how contrast and colour choices can dramatically transform their designs. Perfect for young artists aged 6–8, this workshop encourages creative play while building confidence with new materials and techniques. Guided step-by-step, students will sculpt their piece using air-drying clay, developing form, proportion, and texture skills. Once sculpted, they will explore painting techniques using layered colours to reveal their creature's fine details and character. Designed for children aged 9–12, this workshop offers a wonderful blend of creativity, skill-building, and learning about Australia's unique wildlife. Guided step-by-step, students will sculpt their seal using air-drying clay, learning how to build shape, form, and texture. Once sculpted, students will bring their seal to life with painting techniques that use layered colours to enhance details and give their creation a lifelike finish. Designed for children aged 6–8 and set in our peaceful garden art studio, this workshop offers a fun and creative exploration of one of nature’s most endearing animals.
