Exhibition and Workshop at Halden street Festival
24th August 2014
The festival draws approximately 25,000 people to the heart of Lakemba Town Centre, Haldon Street.
Now in its 15th year, Canterbury Council invited Art Box Workshops to facilitate a greeting card printmaking workshop and student exhibition in the Senior citizens community hall.
Children, parents and grandparents from diverse backgrounds enjoyed the creative possibilities that Art Box Workshops provided for them to create a greeting card or artwork, that they could then give to family, friend or neighbour, keeping with the spirit of the festival celebrations.
This festival continues to bring our community together in a celebration promoting Lakemba’s cultural diversity with art food , music and dance shared and enjoyed by all and the theme of the festival – ‘Respect, Unity & Peace’.
Australia Day, Tasker Park, Canterbury.
26th January 2014, hosted by Canterbury Council
What a fantastic day!
Children of all ages and parents got involved with
creating their very own underwater scene, that was then made into a Australia Day celebration crown,
Stencils, water colour sprays and pastels were provided. I also had a step by step demonstrations of how to draw different sea creatures free hand for those individuals that wanted to be challenged , with some fantastic outcomes. – Julia

With the launch of art box workshops in Earlwood I was thrilled to be invited by Canterbury council to take part in exhibiting our students works in the annual Earlwood Village Festive.
Thank you to all our North Shore students and parents that had helped to deliver the art works it would not of been such a great success without your help and on going support.
Thank you to the Earlwood community we had such warm and welcoming feedback Basia and I look forward to having the opportunity to teach your budding artist in the New year.
