More InfoDolphin Sculpture Workshop | Ages 9–12 Date: Thursday 8 October 2026 Time: 9 am-3 pm Bring the energy of the ocean to life in our Dolphin Clay Sculpture Workshop. Students aged 9–12 will learn how to design and construct a three-dimensional dolphin surfing through a wave. With expert guidance, young artists will explore sculptural form, proportion, balance, texture and the techniques required to join and shape air-drying clay. Students will then use acrylic paints to add ocean-inspired colour and detail to their sculptures. Each completed dolphin will have its own movement and personality, creating a unique artwork to enjoy for years to come. Students will: Draw and design a Dolphin riding a wave. Learn construction techniques. Learn surface finishes and water textures using clay tools. Learn painting techniques for sculpture Each dolphin will be painted and ready to take home at the end of the workshop. They will be sculpting in air-drying clay that takes five to 6 days to dry once taken home Teacher: Julia Sawicki Age group: 9–12 years Materials: Air-drying clay and acrylic paint Approximate sculpture size: 18 cm; finished dimensions will vary Location: Art Box Workshops, Neutral Bay, Sydney Active and Creative Kids vouchers are accepted. More InfoKookaburra Sculpture Workshop | Ages 6–8 Date: Friday 9 October 2026 Time: 9 am-3 pm Embark on a delightful creative adventure in our Kookaburra Clay Sculpture Workshop. Designed for children aged 6–8, this hands-on workshop introduces young artists to the foundations of three-dimensional design. Students will learn how to shape, join and texture air-drying clay as they construct a charming kookaburra inspired by one of Australia’s best-loved native birds. Once the sculpture is formed, students will use acrylic paints to add feathers, markings and individual character. Every child will take home a unique, hand-painted kookaburra sculpture. Students will: Draw and design their Kookaburra. Learn clay construction techniques Paint and finish techniques for sculpture They will be sculpting in air-drying clay that takes five to 6 days to dry once taken home Teacher: Julia Sawicki Age group: 6–8 years Materials: Air-drying clay and acrylic paint Approximate sculpture size: 18 cm; finished dimensions will vary Location: Art Box Workshops, Neutral Bay, Sydney Active and Creative Kids vouchers are accepted.
