Portrait painted by Lulu 8 years old at Art Box Workshops

Final portraits for term 4 are being completed this week, our final week of art classes.
All of the students have had a fantastic time with loads of new skills taught to them over the last 8 weeks, they learnt about facial proportions, facial expression, use of colour and how it represents the mood of a painting, they also tried expressive portrait painting and worked on  proportions having the opportunity to experiment with a variety of mediums.

We have had so many wonderful subjects that our students were inspired to paint,
Lulu has been attending classes with us for over three years and this is a gorgeous painting of her Auntie, whom she admires because she had excavated a dinosaurs egg from a geological site. – Julia
