We hope this artwork inspires policymakers to dive into action, like the young artists in the yellow submarine and ensure a world where hammerhead sharks roam freely and the Great Barrier Reef remains a beacon of natural wonder for generations to come.

Group artwork created at Art Box Workshops

This collaboration is with a group of incredibly talented young children passionate about wildlife preservation.

Explorers of the Deep: Protecting Sharks and the Great Barrier Reef

Inspired by the beauty of the ocean and the urgent need to preserve its delicate ecosystems, our young artists have embarked on an underwater adventure in a yellow submarine, determined to make a difference.

The yellow submarine symbolizes our class’s enthusiasm and determination to explore the depths of the ocean, seeking ways to mitigate the threats faced by these precious marine species and their habitats. Inside the submarine, our artists have depicted themselves peering through the submarine window and making a positive impact by controlling its special vacuum and claw designed for clearing fish nets and rubbish from the ocean, demonstrating their dedication to preserving this irreplaceable habitat.

The children have utilized vibrant colours and monotype printing techniques to portray the Great Barrier Reef’s diverse marine life, along with hammerhead sharks gracefully navigating without the hindrance of gill nets. Our students. The explorers of the deep showcase the fragile ecosystem that underscores the Reef’s status as a global treasure deserving of protection for future generations.
