What makes this term special

These classes are ideal for children who love animals, painting, printing, collage, and creative projects.

What students will learn
Across the 8 weeks, students will explore:

  • Simple printmaking techniques for children
  • Mixed media art using paint, collage, texture, and stamping
  • Creating artworks inspired by Australian animals and the environment
  • Working on both individual artworks and a collaborative group project
  • Learning how art can help us understand and care for nature
  • Building confidence, fine motor skills, and creative thinking

Each child will complete a beautifully framed still-life painting and a portfolio of sketches, pattern designs, and developmental artwork, showcasing their creative process from start to finish.

Collaborative Artwork Project

Students will work together to create a large collaborative artwork based on animals and the environment, alongside their individual pieces. Selected works may be considered for inclusion in local exhibitions and North Sydney Council community events, continuing our long tradition of showcasing student artwork in public exhibitions.
