Thank You to All Students Who Joined Our Spring School Holidays Workshops. Please take a look at the incredible artwork created.

We started the Spring school holidays with our youngest students delving into the world of Australian Rainbow Lorikeets. The workshop was filled with chatter as the young artists expressed their love for these magnificent birds frequently seen and heard flying in our local neighbourhood. I demonstrated step-by-step various art techniques using a mixture of watercolour paint, ink and oil pastels. The following day, older students took on the challenge of creating a Bower Bird masterpiece using ink and wax crayons. Witnessing their art transform into attractive graphic carvings with all of the blue plastic rubbish that the Bower Bird is famous for decorating its nests to entice a mate.

Our “Favourite Cat-Inspired Mixed Media” workshop brought out the artistic prowess of our youngest students, leaving us in awe of their talent and imagination. The remarkable cat artworks will be showcased at our annual student exhibition at North Sydney Council InTransit gallery. Alongside these delightful pieces, we proudly display the paintings of the older students from our “Watermelon” painting workshop, a perfect representation of the joyous spirit of spring.

In the spirit of spring, we hosted flower and bird-themed workshops that were an absolute blast for our youngest groups of artists. They immersed themselves in the beauty of nature, expressing their creativity through art. For the older students, we presented a more technically involved process with a “Still Life of Magnolia,” painting on canvas, allowing them to hone their skills and create breathtaking masterpieces.

As the Spring school holidays drew close, our older students engaged in the fascinating world of sculpture. They honed their artistic talents in designing and sculpting Humpback Whales, an awe-inspiring experience that brought the majesty of these gentle giants to life. Additionally, the Panda sculpture workshop was a resounding success, captivating the hearts of all who participated.

We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support and enthusiasm of our young artists and their families. Your passion for art fuels our dedication to nurturing creativity and providing a space where young minds can flourish.

To all the students who joined us this spring, thank you for sharing your talents. Your passion for art and commitment to learning inspire us every day. We look forward to welcoming you back for more artistic explorations in the future.
